Chameleon is an open source project. The real power in open source doesn't lie in it being free, but in the collaboration that emerges from it. By providing the source code of this project, I invite everyone to collaborate to this project. This page lists a few of the things you can do. It's not hard, there are smaller and larger tasks for anyone, some that require programming skills but even more that don't. Feel free to do anything you like, or anything you think you'll be good at.
Use Chameleon
The first way to contribute to Chameleon is by simply using it. The more people use Chameleon, the more other people will get to know it. So, using Chameleon and showcasing Chameleon in all its glory on your personal website is the best way to contribute to Chameleon.
Furthermore, when using Chameleon you will at a certain moment probably stumble upon some bug. Filing bugs can be done easiliy, without the need of an account and with minimum hassle, in our bug tracker. If you've been using Chameleon for some time, but you're still missing some feature, consider suggesting it on the forums or in the feature request tracker.
Write documentation
This documentation is freely editable for anyone, so you can improve it too. Whether you add a whole new page, double the page count in two days, or just correct some spelling error or incompatibility, every contribution is appreciated. Whenever you stumble on something you think is incorrect, please consider correcting it, whether it is an error in the language or in the explanation. Your contribution keeps this wiki alive! An exact guide on writing documentation is here.
Provide support and discuss
You can also contribute to Chameleon by contributing your knowledge and your opinion. If questions are asked on the forums, you can help answering them. Or, just discuss about Chameleon and the development on the General discussion forum.
Help with the development
Developing for Chameleon also isn't hard. At this moment, the first thing to do when considering to program for Chameleon, is to send me an e-mail at JW00000 [at] gmail{dot}com or to post a message on the forums, with what you'd like to do.
Chameleon's main repository is on Launchpad, available here, in a bzr branch. Since some time, there's also a mirror of the bzr branch using git on GitHub, available here. This branch on GitHub should make it easier for someone to fork the code, make some small changes, and make a pull request to pull the changes back in the main repository.
